(There is another way to edit your map using the old NLSE and exporting the ram file to use in the old Map Editor but I haven’t had to use it.This app can damage your savegame if not used correctly. (there are ways around this using some mildly dangerous methods, but if you are new to this, just extract every time.) like, if you try to use an old backup but you’ve played the game since you extracted it, it will know and not like it, so to be really safe, you should extract every time you want to edit. a limiting factor of this kind of hacking (as opposed to live ram hacking, the old way) is that your last saved game is a factor. if your game breaks (’error has occured’ on booting acnl), put a copy of your most recent saveDataBackup that You Definitely Made And Labeled Clearly on your SD card (but change the name back to what the hack recognizes!), re-extract (step seven of the guide) and try editing it again. if you have extra rivers/inaccessible islands cut off by rivers, use the first tab of the editor to place a bunch of stumps along and inside the river’s edges so you can access places without bridges by sitting and rotating on/off stumps! don’t forget to move your buildings/pwps into realistic places after you edit your map (your Player 1 house is the most important, probably) ![]() the town tree plaza cobblestone is necessary for holidays/events/hide and seek/ dream address visitors (they need somewhere to put the bed!) but not necessary otherwise leaving out the train station cobblestone tile/moving it somewhere weird seems to break the game sometimes river tiles have water flow directions and they are not labeled but it doesn’t seem to matter and I think it looks cool when rivers suddenly flow the wrong way don’t try switching from a left beach town (with a beach on the left) to a right beach town (with a beach on the right) You can click an acre tile to scroll through the different layouts (there are a lot!), but they need to line up with tiles around them in a realistic way. The only difference is that NLSE has been updated since she made that guide and it now includes an acre editor! If you download the latest release, when you open your saveDataBackup file in NLSE, there will be a new tab at the top that says Acre Editor. Hi! I see you have already reblogged Lauren’s excellent guide to using NLSE, so following that will definitely get you started in the right direction. Nekomaniya asked: hi how do i edit my town map with the garden editor? i haven't figured it out yet but i've found your picture of your edited map. ![]()
